Famous Interior Designers. Assigned 4/16, due 4/21 - Minor

This assignment gives you the opportunity to look at the work of 5 notable Interior Designers.

Remember if this link doesn't work - you are still responsible for this assignment - do a Google Search for "famous interior designers" and I know you will find some names you can use for this assignment!!

Read the article linked above to learn about significant Interior Designers and view images of them in the context of the aesthetic. If there are designers whose work sounds interesting, but the image doesn't show their style you should do further research to see if it appeals to you. 

You may choose to use Interior Designers from the list or others you are that are not mentioned.  If you wish you may focus on designers who work in the style you selected as your favorite in the Interior Design Preview & Careers Assignment or you may look at designers of all styles.

Make a new subpage on your Google Site titles Five Famous Interior Designers. You should use information in the article and do further research as necessary to get all data you need to complete the questions and tasks below.

1. Provide a definition of the word 'aesthetic' and include the URL you found it. It's important to know that word for this assignment. 

2. Pick 5 designers that you liked from either the article above, or your own research. Make sure they are an Interior Designers and that is the primary focus of their career.

Share the following information about each Interior Designer:

1. The name of each Interior Designer.

2. At least one image of a room or location for which they have created the interior design they are best known for or that reflects their aesthetic. You can select the image from the article or any other design of theirs that you found online. Take a screen shot of the image and post it under their name.

3. Referring to the design styles you learned about in the Preview assignment, which design style does it looks like this person primarily work in? 

4. List three things each Interior Designers is best known for. It can be the style of their work, a particular building or location, work on a TV show or anything you feel is significant.

5. Explain in two sentences why you liked their work in specific terms - it can be the design style, the colors, the furnishings, textures, lighting or a particular interior they have designed, it's your preference, please explain it to me. 

6. If you were to design a room in their style describe how you would incorporate these aspects and what you would include in your room to reflect their style. 

7. Please include the URL for websites where you found information for this assignment other than the link provided.

Make sure you do this for FIVE Interior Designers.
