Food Truck Physical. Assigned 5/7, due 5/14 - MAJOR

First - want to take a poll for the Dispatch?

Here are the expectations for the Physical (cardboard) Food Truck:

Your truck must have:

1. Be completely covered with either construction paper, paint, or marker. Do not have any brown cardboard showing.

2. Designs on both sides of the truck. One sure with the food service side, and one that is the full side.

3. If you can find a way to include a topper, that would be great.

4. You must have a menu. That menu should be on the food truck. You can create a free standing menu/sign if you would like. You should have the names of your dishes on the menu, I know they will be small, but that is fine.

5. The name of your Food Truck must appear on the truck. Include your logo somewhere as well.

6. Your truck MUST be in 3D.

7. Extras like wheels, a cab, lights, awnings, etc are greatly encouraged.

Please make sure you have completed the digital version of your truck before you start on the physical version.

If you forgot cardboard, try to remember next time. I have a small supply so ask if you are ready to see if I can help you.

Around the room you will find all the materials I have available for you including; construction paper, tape, glue, scissors, hot glue guns, box cutters, markers, etc. Please be polite. The box cutters may ONLY be used where they are, DO NOT TAKE THEM TO YOUR DESK.

You have 3.5 classes (you will have a reflection on the 14th) to make these. Please ask me for anything you might need, you never know what I have laying around to help you. You are may bring anything you want from home to use on your truck.

Your physical truck DOES NOT have to look like your digital truck.

I can print on a limited basis per person. Share whatever you need to print with me via email.

Food Truck Digital. Assigned 4/30, due 5/5 - MAJOR

Last time we worked on the Food Truck project, you used Canva to come up with some plans and answered a bunch of question about what goes into a Food Truck, the history of them, and what you might expect to see if you worked in a food truck. You designed a logo, and you created some sort of design for the side of your truck.

Today, we are going to put all of that together in to a final package. You will again use Canva to complete this task.

Here is what I expect to see on your final project:

1. A well designed and thought out logo with a graphic and text (the truck's name). I would like 2 versions of this logo, one that has the full logo with the name of the truck, and another that is just text-based.

1. A menu with a minimum of the following:

    5 main dishes

    5 side dishes

    3 desserts

3. Two sides of your Food Truck. Your truck could have some sort of roof mounted symbol

1 side with the serving area

1 side with the non-serving side

Below are some samples for you to look at so you know what I am looking for. Ignore the numbers at the bottom, those are irrelevant. Do not include those on your piece.

Food Trucks Turned In

You have all of today to complete this task. You will turn this in on your Google Site on a new Subpage called Food Truck Project. Make sure to PUBLISH when you are done.

The next part of this assignment is to make a cardboard food truck in class. There are five sample trucks on the table in the middle of the classroom. Sometime today, go look at one closer. You will work on these individually, but you can certainly help a friend, offer advice, or even help each other with your INDIVIDUAL trucks.

YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN CARDBOARD BOX

I have some cardboard BUT you will need to cut it and that can be tedious. You may want to find your own cardboard to do this assignment. In addition, you may want to add things to your truck that I do not have. You will need to provide those things.

PLEASE BRING ANYTHING YOU WANT FROM HOME TO HELP CREATE YOUR TRUCK.

I will have:

Glue

Scissors

Markers

Tape

Construction paper

SOME poster board (white only)

I will also be able to cut down a cardboard box for you using a box cutter. You will need cut carefully mark your box for the cuts you want.

This Food Truck MUST BE 3D.

Please ask if you have any questions about this second project
